Activation and agreement

KASAPAY is coming soon in the DRC. Real payments will become available after the required authorisations and connections are in place. Beta access is for testing and does not activate live payments. Commercial activation requires business and representative verification, necessary connections and an agreement defining available services. This text describes the common framework; it does not replace signed specific terms.

Branches and staff

Each location uses its assigned code or QR. Check the name and branch shown to customers. Merchants appoint staff, adjust permissions and remove unneeded access. Cashiers view their payments; refunds are reserved for authorised roles.

Collection and payout

An accepted payment does not always mean payout has already arrived. Funds may remain in transit in dedicated settlement accounts until the agreed payout. The receiving bank or mobile-money account is the verified one designated in the agreement.

The agreement defines frequency, reference date, maximum timing, fees and handling of unavailability. Instant payout or unlimited scheduling choices are not promised.

Disputes and refunds

Merchants remain responsible for their goods, services, sales evidence and customer duties. KASAPAY provides payment information and tools without guaranteeing the sale’s quality. Refund requests identify the original payment and follow channel rules. Customer legal rights are not limited to what a button can technically do.

Ending the relationship

Closure or suspension does not remove pending settlement, refund or retention duties. Specific terms define notice and legally justified holds; this page does not authorise indefinite freezes or discretionary deductions. See complaints.

Items required in the merchant agreement

Before activation, specific terms must identify the merchant, verified destination accounts and currencies, available channels, commission and fee rules, payout frequency and reference date, maximum contractual settlement times, reconciliation records, and procedures for failed or delayed payouts. They must also define dispute contacts, justified reserves or holds where applicable, their release conditions, notice of changes and termination. Any reserve or hold requires its own contractual or legal basis.

Refund terms must address full and partial returns, duplicate requests, insufficient settlement funds, an unavailable original instrument and lawful alternatives. A technical limit of one refund does not determine whether a customer is owed further amounts. These operational and contractual rules remain to be confirmed; no current partial-refund feature is promised.
